Newmont Mining Gold’s bull market has hit record highs, fueling strong gains for major mining firms. For Newmont Mining, the world’s largest producer, the metal’s rally has sparked broad-based investor interest and has renewed buying across the global mining industry. Rocket Lab Rocket Lab shares had a strong week after reporting a 48% year-on-year revenue gain. The aerospace firm, known for its commercial space ventures, impressed with strong results but faced some pressure after delaying the inaugural flight of its reusable Neutron rocket to 2026 to allow for further testing and qualification.

Some of the "Magnificent 7" stocks have had a volatile couple of weeks as investors have increasingly wondered when, or if, colossal expenditures on AI might translate into profit. The issue is all-the-more pertinent in light of the Mag 7's lofty valuations. This week's chart helps to illustrate just how dominant those stocks have been in overall market performance over the past six years, a factor that has made it very difficult for fund managers, who can't take such concentrated expsoure to a small number of stocks, to match the index's performance.
